The Hopes of the New Year

It’s so interesting how we are all approaching the New Year differently…

I attended a business meeting this morning and most of the speakers were excited for the new year.

“A new year, a new you!”

“The new year has so much promise!”

“This year will be great!”

And of course (maybe it’s because of what I do) I shared the 60 Day Emotional Healing Journey that is beginning soon, I had to share that maybe the new year will only be as good as the work we put into creating it.

Although we go into a new year with good intentions, there may be:

experiences that hinder us from obtaining our goals…

situations that trigger us to respond and behave as we have in the past…

memories that hinder us from personal growth…

and in turn, 2024 may look similar to 2023, which looks a lot like 2022, 2021, and so on.

As I reflected on 2023, I asked:

What was the best part of the year? Why?

What was the worst? Why?

What do I want to do differently?

What kind of person do I want to be?

and so on…

I’m not going to lie, this past week I went through one of the toughest experiences and had to make some important decisions that I wasn’t prepared for. The one thing I’m thankful for is all the work I’ve done to help me identify what the end goal is, because otherwise I’d revert to old habits and patterns, which would be good for no one in our family.

As we enter 2024, what expectations do you have for this year?

How do you want to be the same, or different?

What do you really want in your relationships, career, finances, health, or faith?

If you struggle to identify exactly what it is your want for this year, I’d love to help!

As always, however you are feeling today, I want you to know that you are never alone. I encourage you to reach out—if not to me, then to someone!

I believe in you,

Teresa

P.S. How helpful was this? If you think of someone who may benefit, please do not hesitate to forward this information. Thank you!
