Finding people you can connect with can be difficult at times.
Let’s be honest. The last few years have been a doozy and has brought some distance—not only physically, but emotionally as well.
Things seem to be getting “back to normal” but sometimes normal is not what I feel. Anxiety, depression, worry, stress, social anxiety, and so much more has crept into our lives and we may hesitate to get out there again.
One of the best lessons that this time has brought, at least in my opinion, is our ability to learn and grow.
Connecting doesn’t have to be with just people. Connection can also be with our environment and with ourselves. Connection is key in understanding life, understanding others, and understanding ourselves.
As we continue to find our “new normal,” how has it been for you to connect to the things you used to do? Attend social gatherings? Visiting friends? Doing the everyday things like grocery shopping or running errands?
However hard or easy, you are not alone.
We all have our comfort zones and in our time, we can begin getting back to the ways we used to be…or better than before.
We only have one life.
How do you want to be?
**I would say I am a true introvert at heart, with extrovert tendencies. I love my alone time and I also love connecting with others (for short periods of time!). As I continue this life journey, I felt it in my heart to begin connecting people on different levels.
As always, however you are feeling today, I want you to know that you are never alone. I encourage you to reach out—if not to me, then to someone!
I believe in you,
Teresa
